Mirror’s Edge was originally going to be an iPhone game, but looks to have been turned into an iPad launch title. If EA doesn’t decide to release it for the iPhone I suppose we’ll just have to hope for Canabalt II.

I just released a WordPress Plugin for the Withings WiFi Scale. The plugin just allows you to easily embed the Withings smaller gadget into the sidebar of your WordPress blog. It should be appearing in the WordPress plugin gallery sometime in the near future. You can download it now (assuming you have a Withings Scale …
My First Computer: TI-99/4A
Between the earlier blog posts on BASIC programming, RobotWar and this article over at PC Advisor, I suppose I got nostalgic for my first home computer. The Texas Instruments 99/4A — what an awkward name that was. At school, I had first experience a couple of different Apple ][+ computers (a Bell & Howell and …
Necessary (Mac) Things
There are a couple of things that are absolutely necessary for me to get the most out of my Mac. Without them I either fumble around or go out of my way to make up for the loss. Some are free, others I got as part of one of those software bundles tha occasionally come around. (Do they …
USB FTW!
After years of being pro-Firewire and (relatively) anti-USB, my Macbook Air has finally converted me over to an all USB existence. I just added a 36′ long USB cable to my setup, allowing me to hook up my scanner across the room from the rest of the computer system (and freeing up valuable desk space. …

I know they’re just trying to garner page-views by starting controversy, but it’s still sheer nonsense nonetheless. Here’s a quick sampling: 5 Reasons Why We Are Already Depressed About The iPad — Seriously? This article wouldn’t even be worth …
Why it’s time to sell AAPL
After more than 20 years as an Apple user, and well over a decade as an investor, it’s articles like this one that have me considering dumping my stock: 5 reasons to buy Apple stock again Seriously, I don’t think I’ve ever seen the mainstream this pro-Apple. Either they’re poised to take over the industry, …
How to Create a Software Pirate
Ubisoft has perfected a simple 4-step method for turning gamers into software pirates: 1. Release a new game with invasive DRM 2. Wait 24 hours for the obligatory cracked versions (or not) 3. Have the required DRM servers crash 4. PROFIT!!! Seriously, how could they not have expected this… I’m guessing that the DRM authentication …
Of iPads, Couriers, and Failure
Apple is about to release the iPad (April 3, 2010), and while I don’t know if it’s going to be a huge success, I think they’ve figured out some problems that others are still struggling with. For instance, I just had a look at Gizmodo’s coverage of the “Microsoft Courier” (what a new font, really?). …
